    About comparative studies

We make screening easy.

  1. You book it. Our physician orders it.

Schedule your 15-minute office visit online or over the phone, and complete your medical intake online. Our physician writes the order, so no referral is needed.

  2. One 12-second scan.

Get a clear picture of your health with no injections, no fasting, and no claustrophobic tube.

  3. Reports delivered to you and your physician.

A board-certified radiologist reads every image. Results go to you and your physician in as little as 48 hours.

A screening CT is not a diagnostic exam. It can identify a growth but cannot establish whether it is malignant, and it is not a replacement for a mammogram or a colonoscopy. Your report describes your own anatomy.

Why here.

Orlando has whole-body screening at a different price point: Craft Body Scan publishes $2,495 and Prenuvo publishes $2,499. Smart Scan is $798, flat, covering the physician order, the radiologist's read and the coronary calcium score. The exam runs at a partner imaging center on the Mills Avenue corridor north of downtown, off I-4 Exit 85, in one visit of about fifteen minutes.

Serving Orlando, Winter Park, Maitland, Baldwin Park and Altamonte Springs.

How to find it.

From Interstate 4, take Exit 85 (Princeton Street) and follow Princeton east past Loch Haven Park to North Mills Avenue, which carries US 17-92. Turn south on Mills; the address sits on the Mills Avenue corridor between Princeton Street and Virginia Drive, in the Lake Formosa area. Coming from the SR 408 East-West Expressway instead, take Exit 11B for Mills Avenue and head north.

The same exam in Orlando as everywhere else.

Affordability doesn’t have to mean compromise. No matter where you go, Smart Scan delivers only the highest quality service from scheduling to delivering your reports. Since 2017, we’ve helped thousands access affordable, high-quality screening across the state of Florida.

Asked in Orlando.

Where exactly is the Orlando exam performed?

Orlando exams are performed at a partner imaging center at 1900 N Mills Avenue, Suite 107, Orlando FL 32803, where Mills Avenue carries US 17-92 between Princeton Street and Virginia Drive, north of downtown. From I-4, take Exit 85 for Princeton Street and turn south on Mills; from SR 408, take Exit 11B. Smart Scan does not own the building; exams run at partner imaging centers.

Which areas does the Orlando center serve?

The service area runs from Orlando through Winter Park, Maitland, Baldwin Park and Altamonte Springs, all within reach of the Mills Avenue corridor north of downtown. Living outside that list does not stop you from booking. Plan ahead either way: appointments are typically scheduled about two weeks out, and the booking line is 813-692-1216, 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Why is Smart Scan $798 when Craft Body Scan and Prenuvo are around $2,500?

Because those are different exams at different prices, and ours is published as one flat figure. Craft Body Scan publishes $2,495 for its full body scan; Prenuvo publishes $2,499 for a whole body MRI. Smart Scan's $798 covers the physician order, the CT of chest, abdomen, pelvis and heart, the board-certified radiologist's report and the coronary calcium score, on one invoice. We make no claim about MRI versus CT. Compare what each price includes.

Is this the same exam Smart Scan runs at its other Florida centers?

Yes. Every market runs the same protocol on an open 64-slice or greater CT: two passes, one over the body and one for the heart, captured in about twelve seconds, with no contrast dye and no intravenous line. The price is $798 in Orlando as everywhere else, and the same board-certified radiologist network reads the images. Choosing Orlando is a matter of convenience, not a different exam.

Is this a medical exam or a wellness package?

It is a physician-ordered screening exam, not a wellness package. A Smart Scan physician writes the order, a board-certified radiologist reads the full-body images, and the heart images are scored on the Agatston scale by Canon Medical's Vitrea software. What it does not do is diagnose. Smart Scan delivers a report, never an answer, and does not provide medical consultation. Your physician gets a copy directly and decides what follows.

Is there an age when this stops making sense?

There is no published age cutoff, and Smart Scan does not set one. What happens instead is that a Smart Scan physician reviews your intake before the exam is ordered and can decline, in which case the fee is refunded in full.
